Walking in Beauty in Fay Canyon, Sedona, AZ

It is sort of interesting for us that as Life would have it we ended up in the Sedona area for the infamous December 21, 2012. It's such a powerful and sacred place; not a bad spot to be for such a major shift. We decided to spend that day surrounded by beauty in one of our favorite places: Fay Canyon.

The views as we approached the wondrous red rock country of Sedona.

Up Dry Creek Road on our way to the Canyon.

As some of you may recall, we visited Fay Canyon a few years back during our first trip to Sedona. It was akin to a religious experience for me, as I was in absolute awe in front of such natural beauty. I know that I've already shared several photos in this post, but I couldn't resist snapping more shots with our new camera.

Don likes to spend a few minutes gazing into the sun whenever he gets the chance. Interestingly he picked that particularly flat rock to do it. As we were walking back a girl stopped us and asked whether we had seen a large flat rock by the side of the trail, as she had read that it is a special power spot. Could it be the same one? ;-)

These next photos were taken as we were headed back towards town.

What we didn't know at the time is that we were going to get many more opportunities to explore Sedona's wonderful trails. Yippee! Tell you more about it in an upcoming post!
