Walking in Beauty in Joshua Tree National Park: Part 2

We left Hidden Valley behind and continued our exploration of Joshua Tree National Park. Our next stop: Key Views in the Little San Bernardino Mountains - a popular destination from which you can admire an impressive view of the area. Unfortunately we didn't get to see much because of the haze created by pollution.

Kylo wasn't allowed on the Hidden Valley trail so we made another stop at a less crowded destination, Boy Scout Trail, where we figured he'd be fine.

We were told that Joshua trees blossom at the end of February but perhaps because of the colder temperatures of this last winter they weren't quite ready yet. You can still see the white flowers beginning to emerge at the tip of these branches.

Both Don and I saw a face in this rock. Can you see it too?

I felt so grateful for this opportunity to spend more time in the wilderness before heading over to the super populated southern California coast.
