Kylo wasn't allowed on the Hidden Valley trail so we made another stop at a less crowded destination, Boy Scout Trail, where we figured he'd be fine.
We were told that Joshua trees blossom at the end of February but perhaps because of the colder temperatures of this last winter they weren't quite ready yet. You can still see the white flowers beginning to emerge at the tip of these branches.
Both Don and I saw a face in this rock. Can you see it too?
I felt so grateful for this opportunity to spend more time in the wilderness before heading over to the super populated southern California coast.
