Yay! It's Durian Time!

Jozzie has been in love with durian ever since we initiated her last spring. And so we brought a couple of durians with us to share with her.

Here's a little video we made showing how to open a durian and sharing a few tips about how to enjoy this unique exotic fruit.

Delicious recipes using durian:

Dehydrated Durian

Or dehydrate longer for a dryer texture.

For a decadent treat, dip in your favorite chocolate avocado pudding or chocolate sauce.

  2. Trish,
You can usually find durian at Asian markets or some large grocery stores. They always come frozen as they are shipped from Asia. Just let it thaw for one or two days, crack open and enjoy!

  3. I remember you mentioned this recipe and I'm glad you posted the recipe! I think chocolate and durian is a great combo. I've had dehydated durian before and it's not too strong, you're right.
